Learn practical, biblical, and best practices that can impact neighborhoods & community change

• Overview of topics such as urban youth, homelessness, addiction, hunger, mental illness, unemployment; affordable housing, grants, fundraisers, etc.
• Understanding the biblical understanding of helping others;
• Long term impacts of empowerment vs. relief;
• Understanding (“exegeting”) your own City;
• How to advocate for the poor & marginalized;
• Racial and economic disparity;
• Global community development;
• Justice and Advocacy…and more

The Basics…

• The introductory class requires a minimum of 10-hours of participation;
• Completion of the BASIC CERTIFICATE requires 4-classes: this class, one online class, a project in your community and an elective (ex: Mission Waco/Mission World’s ‘poverty simulation’).

The Foundation Certificate of Community Development & Ministry

In addition to the 4-basic CCD classes listed above, participants can continue their training by taking the six online Foundation-level Courses which include:

1. Spiritual Formation
2. Biblical Interpretation
3. Old Testament
4. New Testament
5. Theology
6. Church History
